RSE

At St Matthew's, we want our children to foster healthy relationships and friendships in light of the wisdom of the Church. We want them to understand their innate human dignity, developing love and appreciation of themselves, including respect for their bodies, and the way they were made by God. We want them to develop attitudes and virtues; personal and social skills; and skills and knowledge which will help them to flourish

The Ten:Ten Life to the Full programme is our Catholic curriculum for Relationships, Sex and Health Education (RSHE), rooted in the belief that every child is made in the image and likeness of God and called to live life to the full. Grounded in Catholic teaching, it helps children to grow in understanding of their own dignity, the importance of family and friendship, and the values of respect, kindness and safety. Lessons are age-appropriate, engaging, and sensitive to the needs of all pupils, offering a positive vision of human relationships.
